Allergan Korea Aesthetic-Abbvie Company said it has selected Kim Sook-hyun as the new chief executive officer as of Jan. 1. 

New CEO Kim is a global healthcare professional, receiving an MBA at Kelley School of Business after graduating from the College of Pharmacy at Seoul National University, the company said.

Kim has been working in the vaccine business for 22 years. She joined Abbott Korea in 2006, became a director in charge of Japan and Asia-Pacific business in 2011, and took over the immunity business unit in Abbvie Korea in 2015. 

“I am pleased to work with Allergan Korea, which has led global innovation in medical aesthetics,” the new CEO said. “I feel a great responsibility as CEO, and will move forward to provide the state-of-the-art medical aesthetic solution to meet the needs of consumers of medical aesthetics products both here and abroad.”
