Vuno said Tuesday that it has a signed a deal with CHC Healthcare Group to distribute its four AI (artificial intelligence)-medical solutions in Taiwan.

Under the accord, CHC Healthcare Group will have exclusive rights to supply Vuno's VUNO Med-BoneAge, VUNO Med-Chest X-Ray, VUNO Med–Fundus AI, VUNO Med–LungCT AI to medical facilities in Taiwan.

Vuno plans to speed up advancement into Taiwan's healthcare market by cooperating with CHC Healthcare Group, which holds a dominant share in the local market.

The two companies agreed to introduce Vuno's solutions to more than 50 Taiwanese medical institutions, including those run by CHC Healthcare Group. The latter will distribute the products through its channel.

CHC Healthcare Group, founded in 1977, is a comprehensive healthcare company that manufactures and sells medical devices, including X-rays and computed tomography imaging, and operates general hospitals and clinics in the Asia-Pacific region.

"We are pleased to introduce Vuno's products, which have been recognized as the world's leading medical solutions, to Taiwan," CHC Healthcare Group Vice Chairman Peter Tien Ying Lee said. "Local medical institutions have shown interest in the solutions, and we have secured potential customers."

Lee said that he hopes Vuno's businesses to grow larger and expand to the Asia-Pacific regions.

Vuno CEO Kim Hyun-joon said, "We are impressed that our products have been recognized through long, rigorous evaluation from CHC Healthcare Group's hospital."

Kim added that Vuno would do its best to expand the business to the Asia-Pacific region.

The company's products previously obtained approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and Conformite Europeen (CE) certification.
