The Seoul National University College of Medicine said it has ranked 28th among medical schools in the world and second in Asia.

According to British firm Quacquarelli Symonds’ QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021, SNU College of Medicine’s ranking marked 28thh in the world, second in Asia, and first in Korea. In 2020, its world ranking was 33rd.

Along with Times Higher Education (THE), QS is the most widely cited rating institution. QS uses four metrics – Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per paper, and H-index Citations (faculty productivity and impact) – to announce the rankings in the world, Asia, and by subject every year.

SNU College of Medicine ranked second in Asia, after the National University of Singapore. The University of Tokyo, which used to be the world’s 28th and Asia’s second, went down to the world’s 29th and Asia’s third.
