Hanmi Pharmaceuticals said Thursday that it will directly manage the overseas business of JVM, an affiliate firm of Hanmi Pharmaceuticals, from September. JVM develops automation systems for hospitals and pharmacies around the world.

Hanmi Pharmaceutical_한미약품 has been in charge of JVM’s sales and business since its merger with the company in June last year, while JVM concentrated on production and development.

With JVM finishing preparation for mass production, Hanmi Pharm said it plans to start overseas sales using its overseas business network aggressively.

The five years of cooperation in the domestic business with JVM, prior to the merger, will give Hanmi Pharmaceutical an edge to make inroads into various global markets, the company said.

JVM is one of the world’s top four companies in the automated pharmaceutical management business, with 98.1 billion won ($87.1 million) in sales last year.
