Access Bio said Friday that it has signed a supply agreement of partnership for supply chain management (PFSCM) to supply the company’s malaria rapid diagnostics test (RDT) kit to Uganda. PFSCM is a nonprofit organization providing global procurement and distribution services in low- and middle-income countries.

Under the accord, Access Bio엑세스바이오 will supply 1.34 billion won ($1.18 million) worth of malaria RDT kits, which is equivalent to 4.2 percent of the company’s sales in 2016.

The company has been expanding its market share in the malaria RDT market by winning PFSCM bids for Tanzania, Ghana, Republic of Congo and Uganda.

“The New Jersey, U.S., plant has recorded a significant increase in capacity utilization ratio as the malaria RDT order backlog grows,” said a company official. “We are focusing on expanding our production capacity by continuously recruiting production personnel.”

Access Bio, encouraged by the restoration of the malaria RDT orders, plans to achieve a stable financial structure by diversifying products and markets, he added.
