The Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) will host the 2022 Seoul Biomedical International Conference on September 29 at Seoul City Hall.

City Hall hosts and the state agency organizes the sixth annual conference.

The conference will diagnose the future of the global bio and medical industry under the theme of "Post-Covid, the New Future of the Bio-Industry," by sharing the latest digital innovation technology and seeking new growth opportunities amid the global economic crisis.

Of the two keynote lectures, the first one will address the post-Covid-19 era, changes in the bio-industry and medical environment, and the second one will focus on the open innovation strategies of global pharmaceutical companies. Three sessions will follow them, featuring expert lectures and panel discussions on the theme of the bio-industry ecosystem regarding the digital revolution, new growth opportunities in the bio-industry, and Covid-19.

The conference will also feature special lectures by global speakers.

Additional events for biomedical startups will include SIBC Demo Day, which will be co-hosted with global accelerators, and investment consulting tailored to companies that will help support investments for startups.

Biomedical startups with less than 10 years of experience are eligible to apply, and successful applicants will be announced on the conference day. The application period for SIBC Demo Day opens on Aug. 10 and closes on Sept. 15.

The investment consulting program will provide one-on-one free counseling to startups with less than 10 years of experience in the biomedical field, such as improving business plans, corporate IR data, and setting up corporate valuation. A separate application process will be open from Aug. 10 to Sept. 8, and the organizers will pick 30 companies on a first-come, first-served basis.

Keynote lectures and main sessions of the "2022 Seoul Biomedical International Conference" are open to the general public. Pre-application can be made on the conference website (www.bioseoul.or.kr) from Aug. 10.
