I would like to sincerely congratulate the first publication of the Korea Biomedical Review (KBR), which is the first of its kind, specialized in introducing Korean healthcare industry in English.

The Korean Doctor's Weekly is a professional journal famous for its expertise and swift reports introducing Korean healthcare industry, including healthcare and pharmaceutical area. Now that the paper is launching its sister journal, I firmly believe that KBR will play a vital role at the center of Korean pharmaceutical industry’s efforts for globalization, with its profound and broad understandings of this area.

In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, newly rising keywords include healthcare industry, new media, and globalization. I believe the publication of KBR is very timely in this regard. Korea’s pharma sector is evolving into a global industry riding on many successful projects, including massive technology exports.

The critical point that determines the success or failure on the world market is quick and accurate information. In this sense, I am sure that KBR will serve as a platform to publicize Korean pharmaceutical industry and companies to the world as well as help the domestic businesses informed of international trends.

Once again, I would like to express my congratulations on the launch of KBR and wish all the success for it to lead the advance to global markets by the Korean healthcare industry.

Thank you

Lee Kyeong-ho
