The Korea Pharma & Bio 2018 is set to open its three-day run in KINTEX, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on April 17.

Hosted by the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufactures Association (KPBMA) and sponsored by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), the conference meets its eighth-anniversary promoting pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, research and development and distribution.

The exhibition will involve various domestic Contract Research Organization (CRO) and Contract Manufacturing Organization (COM) companies, including Huons, Daewon Pharma, Korea Arlico Pharma, Intertek, Honorem, and T&J Tech.

During the exhibition period, various events will promote the excellence of the domestic pharmaceutical industry, while supporting its efforts to export its products.

The conference will also offer various lectures and presentations on government policies related to domestic drugs. The exhibit will match up one-on-one export consultation between exhibitors and 31 foreign buyers who are interested in local pharmaceuticals, cosmetics raw materials and technology import.

The KPBMA also plans to hold a seminar on entering the Chinese pharmaceutical market. The workshop will entail opportunities and plans for entry into the rapidly growing Chinese pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, changes in clinical regulations and sharing success cases.

Organizers expect to attract more than 37,000 people this year, including medical professionals, and officials representing domestic and international medical associations, who will also participate in seminars and conferences.

Opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission fee is 10,000 won ($9.3), but visitors can pre-register for free on the Korea Pharma & Bio 2018 website until April 16.
