“I’m pleased to be part of Boehringer Ingelheim Korea, which serves a critical role in the Southeast Asian markets,” Walter said.

Walter served as the country general manager of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar since July 2014 before becoming the Korean branch’s CEO in June.

The new CEO got his MBA at the University of New South Wales and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for around 20 years, including at firms such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, IMS Health, and MSD.

“As a trusted pharmaceutical company that provides innovative treatment options to Korean citizens based on value through innovation, I will do my best to foster the continued growth of Boehringer Ingelheim,” he said.
