GC said Friday it has launched Tak-Sen Eve, a dysmenorrhea treatment.

Tak-Sen Eve, which is a general medicine that combines ibuprofen and pharma bromine, is effective for various pains such as headaches, back pains, toothaches and fevers. The pharma bromine enhances the diuretic effect and calms the swelling of the body, which in turn can help relieve women's symptoms of menstrual pain.

Also, the product uses a Neosol method, which is a patented manufacturing method of soft capsules and has a high absorption rate in the body, thus exhibiting a rapid therapeutic effect. Its liquid form also makes it easy to take, while reducing residual side effects when taking the drug with gastrointestinal diseases such as a sore throat.

“The launch of the product comes from the high demand from our consumers as well as expanding the brand for Tak-Sen,” said Yoon Jin-il, GC’s marketing division team leader. “The company plans to further increase the credibility from our consumers along with our existing Tak-Sen lineup.”

Tak-Sen Eve is packaged in 10 capsules. Depending on the symptoms, users can take the drug one to two times a day.
