A group of Vietnamese health officials visited CJ Healthcare’s Osong plant in North Chungcheong Province Thursday.

CJ Healthcare said Thursday that Vietnamese health officials, including Vu Tuan Cuong, director general of the Drug Administration of Vietnam, visited its Osong plant to benchmark the company’s advanced pharmaceutical facilities and systems.

The Vietnamese government plans to build the country’s first pharmaceutical complex.

CJ Healthcare's Osong plant, located in North Chungcheong Province, is a global-level production facility completed in 2010, which produces finished drugs such as tablets, capsules, and anti-cancer drugs. The plant also makes K-CAB Tab. 50mg (ingredient: Tegoprazan), a treatment for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD) as Korea’s 30th new drug.

“We hope our Osong plant will serve as a good benchmarking example for Vietnamese officials,” a company official said. “CJ Healthcare also believes that through this program the company can promote business cooperation with Vietnam in the future.”
