Theragen Genome Care, a subsidiary of Theragen ETEX, said Friday that it has signed a partnership agreement with Identify DNA and Analyze, a Vietnamese genetic analysis firm.

Under the accord, the company will provide its maternity gene analytic service to Identify DNA and Analyze.

Identify DNA and Analyze is a company that conducts prenatal diagnosis, cancer screening and paternity tests in Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Danang. The company also has a certification from the Vietnamese government as a gene service provider and an American Blood Bank Association (AABB) certification.

Genome care provides the first NIPT test, embryo chromosomal aberration test (PGS), and diagnosis service in Korea through major hospitals and high-risk clinics in Korea.

“The company plans to continue to search for potential local partner companies to establish a gene analysis service network throughout Vietnam,” Theragen Genome Care CEO Jung Myung-joon said.
