JSK Biomed said Monday that it has presented Mirajet, its world’s first needless injection, at the “14th International Live Surgery Symposium” in Germany.
Mirajet is the first injection to apply laser technology, which instantly converts laser energy into pressure, and injects the drug instantaneously.
Professor Huh Chang-hoon of the department of dermatology at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital made a live demonstration of the JSK Biomed's Mirajet by injecting the botulinum toxin into the skin of a patient to improve the patient’s forehead wrinkles.
"It is an innovative product that can inject a small amount of drug into the precise skin layer at a maximum rate of 40 times per second without a needle," Professor Huh said. "It has the advantage of providing patients with various treatments without fear or pain.”
JSK Biomed CEO Jun Jin-woo said, “The painless drug injection device is expected to be the leading product in the field of medical aesthetics’ drug delivery system. The company’s technology is intended to lead the worldwide needle-free injection market by gradually applying it to the general medical treatment drug injection, starting with the beauty medicine field.”
JSK Biomed is a company researching and developing a safe and effective transdermal drug delivery system to supply cutting-edge bio-equipment to the leading bioscience researchers in Korea and provide anti-aging treatment.
