Daewoong Pharmaceutical said Thursday that it has introduced Oracle Argus Cloud Service for the safety management of pharmaceutical products.

Oracle Argus Cloud Service is software that provides cumulative information management from drug development to post-market pharmacological monitoring through a cloud system. The service also optimizes database according to national standards, which is why multinational pharmaceutical companies widely use it.

One of the main merits of the service is that the system automatically updates the International Council for Harmonization’s “E2B (R3)” guideline for anomaly reporting-related actions and procedures.

“The company expects to significantly reduce the cost of pharmaceutical safety management opportunities for entering the new global market with the cloud system that can efficiently manage and read drug safety data through the platform at any time and anywhere,” said Park Hyun-jin, Daweoong’s development manager.

Bruce Palsulich, Oracle’s vice president of product strategy, also said, “The current regulatory requirements for drugs are constantly changing by region. Oracle Health Sciences provides companies such as Daewoong Pharmaceuticals with a standardized solution to international standards for monitoring complex clinical trials globally.”
