Obesity clinic 365mc said it has developed a system to predict a result of artificial intelligence-assisted liposuction.

The liposuction prediction tool is called BAPS, or “Before & After Preview System.” Earlier, the company also unveiled an AI-based liposuction system called MAIL (Motion Capture, and Artificial Intelligence Assisted Liposuction) System.

BAPS uses data from over 20,000 monthly liposuction cases at 365mc, finds the most similar body shape that matches to a customer who wants liposuction, and predicts a result. The system also predicts liposuction results by body parts such as abdomen, forearm, and thigh.

“We created BAPS to help customers compare their body shapes to the similar examples, not an advertisement model, and decide whether liposuction would be appropriate for them. At the same time, we aimed to maximize the operation results,” CEO Kim Ha-jin said. “Using our numerous obesity treatment and liposuction cases, we plan to make various attempts to raise customer satisfaction to the highest level.”

In 2017, the clinic developed MAIL System jointly with Microsoft.
