Johnny Tse has begun serving as the general manager of the Korean offshoot of Roche Diagnostic, the company said Monday.

Tse, who joined the Roche Diagnostics Hong Kong in 2000, is an expert in in-vitro diagnostics who has more than 23 years of experience in sales marketing in various Asian countries, including China, and emerging markets.

In particular, he has served as the president of Roche Diagnostics Hong Kong until recently, and has developed Roche Diagnostics Hong Kong as a market leader over the past decade, the company said.

“I am very pleased and excited to head Roche Diagnostics Korea, which plays a pivotal role in Roche's global diagnostic market as well as in the Asia Pacific region,” Tse said. “Working with Korea's top in vitro diagnostics company, I will do my best to promote the value of diagnosis and improve medical access to innovative diagnostic solutions, which in turn, will ultimately to contribute to the lives of Korean patients.”
