Humedix said it would market “Mentor,” Johnson & Johnson Medical’s breast implant, in Seoul and its surrounding metropolitan area.

Humedix CEO Chung Koo-wan (right) and Johnson & Johnson Medical Korea director Jung Hyung-geun signed a business agreement, at Humedix headquarters in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, Wednesday.

Mentor has more than 10 years of clinical data and long-term use, and J&J Medical manufactures the implant in strict production and quality regulations that meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration, European Conformite Europeenne Mark and International Organization for Standardization standards.

Humedix said it plans to secure a position as a professional aesthetic company by expanding new business platforms. The company will expand shares of Mentor in the domestic breast implant market by utilizing its sales network and marketing know-how.

“We will do our best to consolidate the position of Mentor by combining know-how and competence accumulated by the company,” Humedix CEO Chung Koo-wan said.
