LSK Global PS said it has obtained an international certification for clinical data management from the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM), a non-profit group, for the first time as a local contract research organization (CRO).

The certification recognizes the company as one of the Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM®) Industry Partners. Among 2,200 members of SCDM, only 17 companies are CCDM Industry Partners, according to the Korean company.

CCDM Industry Partners certifies a firm that endeavored in clinical trial data management to obtain CCDM. If a company has more than 25 percent of the workforce assigned for Certified Clinical Data Management or has more than 10 Certified Clinical Data Managers, it can win the certification.

Internationally recognized for data management in clinical trials, SCDM runs the CCDM certification program to establish standards for knowledge, education, and experience in data management.

LSK Global PS CEO Lee Young-jack emphasized that the certification was the result of efforts to provide world-class clinical trial data.

“We will not become complacent with the domestic market and continue to challenge the global market with better services,” he said.
