Chung-Ang University Hospital on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual medical cooperation with Hyundae General Hospital and Astana Medical University in Kazakhstan.

Chung-Ang University Hospital President Kim Seong-deok, Hyundae General Hospital Director Kim Boo-seop, Astana Medical University Rector Dainius Pavalkis, and officials from the two countries signed the MOU at the Kazakh university. The three institutions said they would gather efforts for patient care, education and research, and interact and cooperate.

Under the agreement, Chung-Ang University Hospital is to cooperate in joint research and human exchanges for the medical development of Kazakhstan and to hold joint conferences of both institutions.

“The agreement is expected to promote active exchanges and joint research with Astana Medical University, as well as the medical development of the three institutions. Besides, we hope that the two Korean hospitals could attract foreign patients not only from Kazakhstan but from Russia,” Chung-Ang University Hospital President Kim said.
