JW Medical, a subsidiary of JW Holdings, said that it has begun to market Arietta 50LE, an ultrasonic imaging device made by Hitachi Medical Systems, a Japanese company specializing in medical systems and equipment.

Arietta 50LE is a video diagnostic device that improved operational efficiency based on the of Hitachi's premium product line Aloka Arietta 850, launched last year. The device focused on enhancing convenience with the so-called 3C concept -- carefree workflow, clear imaging, and clean application.

It features an illustration-based touch user interface (UI) and a 21.5-inch large monitor for more intuitive use. It also boasts a battery mode that allows the machine to operate for 60 minutes without using a power cord. Such features allow doctors to examine the patient directly in the operating room or emergency room without having to travel to the office, JW Medical said.

Besides, the device provides an "eFLOW" function, which can diagnose the blood flow in the tumor in high quality, as well as an auto intima-media thickness (IMT) function that can measure the carotid wall thickness by merely selecting the diagnosis site.

JW Medical's strategy is to promote Arietta 50LE as a customized model for hospitals and clinics.

"The new product is a device that greatly improves the efficiency and user convenience while having the technology and advantages of the existing Arietta series," JW Medical Product Manager Kim Han-byul said. "Based on the proven competitiveness in the global market, we plan to foster the device as a leading item in the domestic market."
