Medytox Inc. (CEO Jung Hyun-ho), Korea's largest maker of botulinum toxin, held a workshop by inviting the members of the Philippine Dermatology Society (PDS) last Thursday and Friday, the company said Tuesday.

The event was part of Medytox’s overseas exchange programs aimed to promote its superior technology and products, it said.

Twenty-seven members of the PDS and other experts attended the two-day event. During the exchange program, the participants visited the second factory of Medytox메디톡스 in Osong, North Chungcheong Province, to observe the state-of-the-art production facilities, and the explanation session of its products Meditoxin (export name: Neuronox) and hyaluronic acid filler Neuramis.

Members of the Philippine Dermatology Society, who participated in the overseas exchange program of Medytox, stand with Dr. Jeon Hee Dae (fifth from the left in the front row) last Thursday.

Dr. Jeon Hee-dae전희대, a director of the Korean Society of Cosmetology, gave a lecture on the theme of “botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid filler's latest trend.”

"Korean skin cosmetic market is leading the world trend, and it is a market that foreign experts watch with interest,” Jeon said. "Medytox's overseas exchange program will be one of the driving forces that allow Korea to continue to lead the global skin cosmetics market.”

A Medytox official also said, “As the domestic biopharmaceutical industry is expanding into overseas markets, it is essential to explore various ways to interact directly with local experts.”

He went on to say, “We will actively promote exchanges with foreign countries by holding more events like that for the Philippine dermatologists.”
