The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) and Korea Human Resource Development Institute of Health and Welfare (KOHI, President: Choi Young-hyun) have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in global education.

The two organizations exchanged the MOU to expand programs for nurturing professional human resources in health, healthcare, and vaccine, and to increase efficiency in the continuous development of international professionals through education and R&D cooperation between the two organizations, officials said.

IVI국제백신연구소 and KOHI plan to jointly host and support the operation of the International Vaccinology Course, a weeklong course for public health and vaccine professionals from countries worldwide, international fora and expert symposiums to develop and operate programs for nurturing careers in health and healthcare and vaccines.

With the MOU signing, the two organizations will continue personnel exchange aimed at the development of programs to nurture professional human resources in health, healthcare, and vaccines.

“We are pleased to support training of professional human resources in public health and vaccine in collaboration with KOHI,” IVI Director General Jerome Kim said. “IVI is committed to expanding exchange and cooperation with public and private sector organizations in Korea and around the world to synergize in not only vaccine R&D but also capacity building including human resources development.”
