Vuno said Monday that Pusan ​​National University Hospital (PNUH) has introduced its artificial intelligence-based medical voice recognition solution VUNO Med-DeepASR.

The platform is a clinically tailored voice recognition solution with 99 percent of the training data concentrating on thousands of hours of medical data. It accurately documents medical terms that contain long, complex words or mixed Korean and English texts in real-time. According to the company, it recorded more than 98 percent speech recognition accuracy and 1.5 times faster medical document creation time than when done by hand.

Vuno said it has proven its excellent medical speech recognition technology through the presentation at prestigious conferences in the field of speech recognition, such as INTERSPEECH and the International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP)

So far, more than 20 Korean hospitals have introduced the system. Among such hospitals are Asan Medical Center, Inha University Hospital, Ewha University Mokdong Hospital, Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital, Yongin Severance Hospital, Gachon Gil Hospital, Kyungpook National University Hospital, Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital.

The company continuously upgrades the platform based on the feedback of about 300 medical staff that uses the system.
