MSD Korea said Thursday that the company has elected Kevin Peters, CEO of MSD Thailand, as its new chief executive officer, effective on Nov. 1.

MSD Korea’s new CEO is an industry expert with more than 29 years of experience, the company said.

After joining MSD U.K. in 1996, Peters has accumulated extensive experience within MSD, carrying out various national, regional, and global works in the Asia Pacific, China and Europe. He has been serving as the CEO of MSD Thailand since 2018.

Before that, Peters also served as vice president and chief marketing officer of MSD China, global franchise leader of MSD’s immunology division, marketing leader of diversified brands in Europe, and business unit director for MSD U.K.

“I am very pleased to become the CEO of MSD Korea, an important country in the global pharmaceutical market,” Peters said. “Together with our employees, I will do my best to improve Korean patients' quality of life and create a healthy future.”
