Yuyu promotes CFO Park to new co-CEO

Yuyu Pharmaceutical said it promoted Park No-yong, CFO of the company, to new co-CEO, as of Thursday.

Under the new role, Park will be in charge of overall management and production sectors, including finance, HR, public relations, compliance, and computing, while the current CEO Yu Wan-sang will oversee domestic and international R&D, sales marketing, and new business development.

Co-CEO Park, born in 1970, obtained a master's degree in business administration from the Warsaw School of Economics in Poland. He worked for Daewoo Group and a management consulting firm.

After joining Yuyu in 2001, Park led various departments including planning, finance, public relations/IR, computing, purchasing, and export. He also served as project manager for the relocation of Yuyu’s new factory in Jecheon, the merger and acquisition of Yuyu Healthcare M&A, and the establishment of Yuyu Teijin Medicare.

Since 2014, he has served as CFO, successfully attracting financing, and securing Yuyu Pharmaceutical R&D and facility investment funds, and leading stable corporate operations.

Park vowed a successful launch of a dry eye treatment in the global market. 

“I will do my best to support the successful development of YP-P10, a dry eye treatment undergoing phase 2 clinical trials in the U.S.,” Park said.
