SNUBH partners with SL Christian Foundation to establish K-health screening center in LA
Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) said it entered into a consultancy agreement with the SL Christian Foundation to establish a Korean-style health screening center in Los Angeles, CA, the U.S.
The agreement follows a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed in July 2023, signaling a significant stride in the ongoing collaboration to set up this innovative health facility.
Under the accord, SNUBH will be involved in the establishment and operation of the center, providing comprehensive consultancy and support on staffing, equipment, systems, and training, with the center set to open in 2025.
This initiative aims to successfully launch the health screening center and includes a plan to build a medical collaboration system that, if desired, connects patients to Seoul National University Hospital Group for treatment and precision diagnostics in Korea.
The SL Foundation, which acquired a building in Cerritos, LA, in November last year, plans to remodel a portion of it into a health screening center.
“We will do our best to ensure the success of the Korean Health Screening Center in the U.S., the center of the global healthcare industry,” SNUH President Kim Young-tae said. “We look forward to providing quality medical services to the Korean community and raising the profile of Korean healthcare in the U.S.”
SNUBH President Song Jung-han also stressed, “We will make great contributions to help Korean Americans in the U.S. prevent and treat diseases in a timely manner and enjoy a healthy life through excellent Korean health checkup centers.”
