DUCRAY NEOPTIDE EXPERT is a general hair care cosmetic product. JW Shinyak signed an exclusive domestic supply contract with Pierre Fabre and started its domestic sales in January.

The global phase 4 trial is a six-month study from September 2024 to March 2025, to follow up on the effectiveness and safety of DUCRAY NEOPTIDE EXPERT. It will be conducted simultaneously in 15 countries, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Africa. JW Shinyak will conduct the trial in Korea.

The Korean trial will also involve three organizations -- the Korean Hair Research Society, the Korean Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, and the Association of Korean Dermatologists. They will conduct the study at five major university hospitals and 15 specialized clinics in Korea, enrolling 200 people who need follow-up care for their scalp and hair after hair loss treatment.

The phase 4 study will include subjects in stage 3 of the Norwood Hamilton classification (when progression of hair loss is visible). Through this six-month clinical trial, JW Shinyak plans to confirm the study's results comprehensively, including the improvement of the scalp after using hair care cosmetics and the subsequent effects on the scalp and hair after treating hair loss caused by other factors.

“This global phase 4 trial is an opportunity to prove the hair care effectiveness of DUCRAY NEOPTIDE EXPERT globally,” a JW Shinyak official said. “We will continue to make efforts in various ways to establish hair care cosmetics as a solid option for consumers and patients who are worried about hair care.
