SD Biosensor discusses cooperation with Mongolian agency to combat infectious diseases

Officials from the Mongolian National Center for Communicable Disease (NCCD) visited SD Biosensor’s factories in Cheongju and Jeungpyeong, North Chungcheong Province, on Nov. 8 to discuss ways to cooperate in the fight against infectious diseases, the Korean company said.

Nine NCCD officials toured SD Biosensor’s total diagnostic platform for liver cancer, cervical cancer, tuberculosis, and respiratory diseases and discussed solutions for early diagnosis of these diseases.

“This visit is a valuable opportunity for us to build a partnership with SD Biosensor and explore cooperation in responding to and combating infectious diseases in Mongolia,” said Dr. Gantungalag Ganbaatar, head of the Tuberculosis Surveillance and Research Department at NCCD.

Lee Min-gyu, head of the International Health Cooperation Division at SD Biosensor, said, “We hope that this visit by the NCCD will strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Korea and Mongolia in responding to and combating infectious diseases. We will continue contributing to international health projects by creating various international cooperation models based on our know-how in responding to infectious diseases and our diagnostic technologies and products.”
