Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, which welcomed the new year amid the government-doctor conflict, vowed to make 2025 a year of leap forward by overcoming the crisis.

“We are still facing a challenging environment,” Seoul National University Bundang Hospital President & CEO Song Jung-han said at the opening ceremony for 2025 on Thursday. “Depending on how we overcome this difficulty and present a new direction, the order of the medical industry will change once again.

The hospital's core tasks for 2025 include strengthening its capabilities in treating severe diseases by transforming its structure as part of the government’s tertiary hospital restructuring pilot project, building a flexible organizational culture, and realizing its mid- to long-term growth vision.

It aims to “open new horizons in critical care” by streamlining bed allocation through structural transformation, strengthening the expertise of clinical nurse specialists, and overhauling the education and training system for specialties.

The hospital will also accelerate the promotion of its core businesses, including the Metropolitan Infectious Disease Hospital and the Advanced Outpatient Center.

“The situation we are facing is not easy, but if we gather strength and unite together, we will surely have a brilliant moment of reemergence,” Song said. “Please take the theme of leap in crisis to heart and work together for the hospital's new leap forward.”
