Singer BoA, after battling acute osteonecrosis, donates ₩100 mil. to SMC

Samsung Medical Center (SMC) announced Wednesday that BoA, a Korean singer, songwriter, and an actress, has donated 100 million won (approximately $72,300) to the hospital’s Department of Orthopedics.
The donation will be used to support orthopedic patients facing financial hardship.
According to her agency, SM Entertainment, BoA recently underwent surgery and treatment for acute osteonecrosis. She reportedly made the donation to offer comfort and encouragement to others suffering from similar conditions.
