Huang will double as Janssen's North Asian head by managing its branches in Taiwan and Hong Kong, it said.

New CEO Huang, who joined Janssen in 1998, has held various positions in Janssen and Johnson & Johnson (J&J).

“New CEO Huang worked as the chief financial officer of Janssen Asia Pacific region and contributed significantly to shaping business and financial strategies for corporate growth and capacity buildup,” the company said.

Huang also played an active role in the Asia Pacific Leadership Team, representing the voice of Asia Pacific to global leaders and stakeholders, it added. Most recently, she served as a member of the J&J’s Southeast Asia cluster leadership team.

“It is an honor to lead Janssen Korea operating in a country that recognizes the value and necessity of pharmaceutical innovation,” Huang said. “I am pleased to work with colleagues in Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships that support access to innovative medicines.”

Huang stressed that she looks forward to continuing the outstanding achievements of Janssen Korea in establishing reliable partnerships with medical professionals, government officials, patients, and various stakeholder groups.
