SD Biosensor said it had signed a contract with a Canadian company to supply 138.7 billion won ($116.2 million) worth of "STANDARD Q COVID-19 Ag Nasal with Control," its Covid-19 antigen rapid diagnosis kit.

The contract accounts for about 8.23 percent of the company's sales of about 1.68 trillion won in 2020. The contract period is until Feb. 28. SD Biosensor stated that the contract termination date is the final scheduled shipment date but is subject to change according to the supply schedule.

However, SD Biosensor did not unveil its partner citing a contractual term.

"The supplied products are kits used directly under the guidance of medical staff," a company official said. "It's a product for professionals."

Meanwhile, SD Biosensor signed a global supply contract with Roche Diagnostics and has obtained diagnostic product approval in other countries that recognize the CE certification than the U.S. since 2020.
