Huons Global said it has completed restructuring its medical device business division by merging its subsidiary, Huons Medicare and Huons Medical, into Huons Meditech.

Huons Meditech named Lee Sang-man as the company's first CEO. The company said that Lee would expand target markets at home and abroad and relocate the headquarters, research institutes, and factories by utilizing his management know-how and experience in the pharmaceutical, medical sales, and marketing.

"Medical equipment manufacturing will be our core business that will lead the group's future leap forward," a Huons Global official said. "Therefore, the company pursued the merger to further strengthen professionalism and competitiveness by consolidating the talents and capabilities dispersed between the two companies, and create business synergies through operational efficiency."

Huons Meditech plans to reorganize its sales and marketing organizations under CEO Lee and conduct synergistic marketing that combines portfolios encompassing disinfection, sterilization, and aesthetic treatment, to drive strong sales growth.

"We aim to strengthen the business competitiveness of the two companies by integrating the businesses of the two companies under one house," a Huons Meditech official said. "We will grow into a leading medical device company that leads the global market trend in medical and healthcare devices, which are receiving attention as future innovative technologies."
