The company added that the biomanufacturing plant is for multi-modality such as pDNA, mRNA, virus vector and phage which can produce a variety of drugs from drug substances (DS) to drug products (DP).

The production line for biological drug substances is based on microbial fermentation such as pDNA through multi-use and single-use fermenter. The factory can produce from small-scale substances for clinical use or large-scale substance for commercial purpose.

In terms of drug product, Reyon pharmaceutical said it has production capability for large-scale production of liquefied and lyophilization injection of biomedicines and advanced antibody drugs based on microbials through single use production facility.

“The biomanufacturing plant in Chungcheong has the capability to reduce a partner company’s clinical development period by establishing various pipelines of supply chain per stage” said Kim Young-min, director of bio business division at Reyon. “Based on our production infrastructure, we are under joint development for novel drug pipeline with diverse partner companies and we aim to promote our factory at BIX 2022 and add partnerships.”

Meanwhile, Bae Chang-joon, external relations manager, said many visitors came to the company’s booth although it was the first day of the event.

“Reyon is looking forward to clinching partnerships both in-person and online,” he said.
