Kangbuk Samsung Hospital said Wednesday it has recruited Professor Kim.

After graduating from Yonsei University College of Medicine, Kim served as the head of the Pediatrics Department at Inje University Sanggye Paik Hospital, head of the Pediatric Neurology Department at Severance Children's Hospital, and the president of the Korean Epilepsy Society.

Professor Kim was the first in Korea to introduce the ketogenic diet in treating epilepsy. He is recognized for his top-notch diagnostic and treatment capabilities through various anti-epileptic therapies and surgery.

"Amidst the shortage of pediatric doctors, Kangbuk Samsung Hospital will do its best to protect the healthy lives of precious children," said Shin Hyun-chul, the hospital’s president. "We will continue to provide quality medical services to patients by actively recruiting excellent medical professionals."
