The Denmark-based company's new smart sensor promises to revolutionize diabetes management by automatically logging insulin injection data through its connection with insulin pens.

This data is then synced with a mobile application, allowing real-time monitoring of treatment.

"The Mallya Smart Sensor's primary objective is to make it easier and more efficient for diabetes patients to manage their insulin dosage and medication timing," the company said. "Novo Nordisk, dedicated to leading in scientific research, believes this digital healthcare service embodies its commitment to enhancing patient access."

Notably, Mette Kierkgaard, Denmark's Minister for Senior Citizens, visited the Novo Nordisk booth during her three-day tour in Korea from Sunday to Tuesday, where she took a keen interest in the Mallya Smart Sensor technology.

"We are thrilled to showcase our patient-centered innovative technology in this event. We believe that convergence of medicine, medical technology, and healthcare software can make a significant impact on the lives of patients," the company said.

Meanwhile, the Korea Digital Future Innovation Exhibition 2023 was participated by over 300 companies and ICT-associated public bodies showcasing Korea's digital advancements.
