Since joining GSK in 2015, Borgatta has been recognized for his business leadership, people-centric strategies, and continued growth of business units across a range of disease areas. He led the successful launch and sales of GSK vaccines and medicines in Europe, particularly in Belgium, Spain, Italy, and the UK, through focused resourcing and innovative marketing strategies, driven by the organization's strong ethical values and passion for making a positive impact on patient health.

Since joining GSK, Borgatta has held roles in marketing, sales, and commercial operations across multiple regions and countries to further strengthen GSK's market leadership position in Vaccines and Innovative Therapeutics.

In addition, he has helped to increase patient access through the launch and indication expansion of severe eosinophilic asthma treatments in the US, Japan, Germany, and other countries.

Since 2021, he served as general manager of GSK Portugal, where he has grown the business by successfully expanding indications for eight innovative medicines and bringing two new vaccines to market.

He has also been recognized for embedding the company's culture, which has led to GSK Portugal being recognized as one of the Best Places to Work.

"I am delighted to join GSK Korea and work with the organization as it continues its impressive growth in vaccines and specialty medicines," said GSK Korea General Manager Maurizio Borgatta. "I look forward to working with our Korean colleagues to strengthen access to GSK's broad portfolio of vaccines and other innovative treatments for Korean patients and help them stay ahead of disease with improved quality of life."
