SCL (Seoul Clinical Laboratories), a clinical diagnostic laboratory, participated in the RED (Roche Experience Days) 2023 symposium organized by Roche Diagnostics Korea.

RED 2023, held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul on Wednesday and Thursday, is a knowledge-sharing and networking platform that Roche Diagnostics has organized annually since 2016 with global healthcare professionals.

This year's event had a theme of "Shaping the Future of Healthcare Excellence," featuring in-depth discussions centered on innovations and challenges to improve patient outcomes.

The symposium featured lectures and panel discussions by leading Korean and foreign experts, including "Precision Medicine in Hematology Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)" by Kim Myung-shin, professor of diagnostic laboratory medicine at Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, and "Exploring Future Technologies; Insights and Trends for Advancing Diagnostics" moderated by Roche Diagnostics CTO Matthias Essenpreis.

Baek Se-yeon, head of SCL Healthcare New Drug Development Support Headquarters, lectured on the "Future-oriented paradigm of diagnostic laboratory medicine,” drawing high interest.

On Thursday, Agnes Ho, head of Roche Diagnostics Asia-Pacific Sub-Region 3, welcomed the participants, followed by presentation sessions and panel discussions, as well as a lab tour to experience SCL's facilities, from where the company has established a world-class testing process.

SCL, which celebrated its 40th anniversary, said it has continued to expand its partnerships with relevant organizations to improve its capabilities in sample analysis, R&D, and clinical trials.
