Patrick Osewe of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) emphasized the critical need for building capacity for pandemic response.

"We must recognize the necessity of regulatory reliance and knowledge transfer," he stated, stressing the importance of collaboration and partnerships to ensure equity and sustainability in vaccine manufacturing.

Osewe highlighted five areas for development, including expanding capacity for vaccine manufacturing, enhancing regulatory systems, and focusing on climate adaptation and mitigation.

Laurent Muschel, Acting Director-General of the European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority, addressed the disparities revealed in the therapeutics field to combat pandemic diseases by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We need to restart from scratch," he said, calling for an end-to-end approach to health security that balances industry and governmental efforts. "We need to make sure that the pointers are not only privatizing vaccine, and maintain a sufficient investment level for both vaccines and therapeutics."

Willo Brock, Executive Vice President of the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), celebrated the collective energy and commitment of partners in improving diagnostic reach for infectious diseases, highlighting the stark reality that "50 percent of the world's population has not had access to any testing."

He called for a rethinking of health security integration and the necessity of advancements in diagnostics, urging the integration of multiplex testing and AI in digital health.
