The solutions introduced to the Uzbekistan military hospitals are VUNO Med-Extremity X-ray, an AI-based upper extremity X-ray reading assistance solution, and a package product equipped with VUNO Med-Chest X-ray, an AI-based chest X-ray reading assistance solution for portable X-ray equipment.

Both products were developed as part of the military medical imaging data-based AI reading system enhancement sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

They are designed to enable field medical services, especially in remote areas, to reduce diagnostic disparities and effectively assist medical professionals in regions with underdeveloped medical infrastructure.

Previously, in cooperation with NIPA, VUNO successfully conducted a usability evaluation for six months after installing the products at the Uzbekistan Central Military Hospital in May. Based on the excellent evaluation results, the two products were supplied to five local military hospitals, including the Uzbekistan Central Military Hospital and regional military hospitals.

"With the support of government departments, we are pleased to introduce two products that can contribute to the improvement of military health care and the health promotion of military personnel in Uzbekistan," VUNO CEO Lee Ye-ha said. "We are discussing positively with local stakeholders to expand cooperation and additional business opportunities, and we will strive to utilize VUNO's artificial intelligence technology in various medical fields in Central Asia, using Uzbekistan as a hub."
