"Everyone has the right to clear vision," remarked Coptiq CEO Zenma Park, initiating the event.

Coptiq, with plans to open its inaugural Breezm store in Manhattan, New York City, in February next year, also targets the U.S. online eyewear market with a mobile app slated for launch in the second half of next year.

The company said it would position itself strategicallym highlighting the immense potential of the $76 billion U.S. eyewear market and the growing demand for personalized eyewear based on face shape and size.

With nine Breezm stores already established in Korea, Coptiq has garnered about 50,000 customers and achieved a cumulative sales volume of 15 billion won ($11.4 million) over the past five years.

Recognizing the challenge individuals face in selecting eyeglasses that consider facial shape and optical characteristics, Coptiq employs 3D-scanned custom eyeglasses. The company uses a 3D scanner to analyze facial data, including brow width, nose height, and eye-ear distance, providing tailored eyewear solutions.

Coptiq's comprehensive approach extends to providing customers with a detailed report, encompassing a frame report reflecting facial data and a vision report displaying eye examination results diagrammatically. These reports facilitate easy comprehension of facial and eye-related information.

The frame report illustrates how facial data extracted from the 3D scan influences the design of personalized eyeglasses, while the vision report visually represents eye examination results, aiding understanding of vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

"Coptiq has the technology to design and produce customized eyeglasses that reflect the characteristics of the face so that the lenses are always in the optimal position," said Seo Jong-mo, a professor of ophthalmology at Seoul National University Hospital. "By collaborating with Breezm, we can accelerate our research on cutting-edge eyeglasses technologies."

"As an eyewear company, we aim to advance our technology to provide everyone with the opportunity to receive optimized vision correction."
