Located on the first floor of the main building of CBMC, the expanded CHA Global Hospital has improved convenience with dedicated consultation rooms and waiting areas for international patients to facilitate speedy services from appointment scheduling to medical consultations and tests, the hospital said.

The hospital plans to enhance patient satisfaction through "Fast Track" services for patients arriving from abroad and through remote collaboration with a multinational medical team, it added.

The hospital also aims to improve the convenience of medical services for foreigners living in Korea, including staff and families of international schools, students, and U.S. military personnel.

To this end, the hospital has hired coordinators proficient in various languages, including English, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, and Mongolian, to assist foreign patients with consultations, treatments, and hospital admissions.

"With the expansion of the CHA Global Hospital, we plan to provide advanced medical services by activating remote consultations for foreign patients, as well as offering dedicated medical treatment and hospitalization services, thus establishing a comprehensive one-stop healthcare system," CHA Global Hospital Director Kim Young-tak said. "We aim to enhance the status of Korean healthcare internationally, building on the capabilities of CHA Hospital in international medical services."

Meanwhile, CHA Hospital, with a network of 94 medical institutions in seven countries, has been actively promoting Korean medical technology abroad and attracting foreign patients.

Over the past decade, over 120,000 foreign patients have visited CHA Hospital for a variety of services, including comprehensive health screenings at Chaum and surgeries and treatments for infertility, gynecologic cancer, and breast cancer at various hospital locations.

As a result, the hospital was rated as a top-grade institution in the "2022 ICT-based Foreign Patient Pre-consultation and Post-care Pilot Project" conducted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute and has been selected to continue participating in this project in 2023.
