Kyung Hee University Hospital has expanded the outpatient clinic of the Gastroenterology Center and began its full-scale operation on Wednesday.

The hospital opened additional outpatient clinics in the Gastroenterology Center, with the most outpatient visits, a liver fibrosis test room, and a consultation room.

Besides, the hospital plans to increase patient satisfaction by shortening the process from prescription to implementation of gastroscopy and colonoscopy. The new room will provide in-depth consultation on the test and procedure process.

The new liver fibrosis laboratory has introduced expensive liver fibrosis scanning equipment to provide more accurate diagnosis and follow-up for patients with fatty liver disease, chronic hepatitis, and cirrhosis. Only nine such machines have been introduced in Korea.

"Through the expansion of the Gastroenterology Center's clinics and laboratories, we will provide the best medical services to all patients who visit the Gastroenterology Center at Kyung Hee University Hospital," said Dr. Jang Jae-young, head of the Gastroenterology Center. "We expect this will lead to increased patient visits and revenue growth."
