AriBio has entered into a comprehensive collaboration with Vietnam's state-owned Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (CPC1) to sell and distribute AR1001, an oral dementia treatment candidate.

The Korean company said Wednesday that it would also collaborate with OPC Pharma on developing natural product technology,

CPC1 is a subsidiary of chemical-based pharmaceutical company Vina Pharm, a state-owned enterprise specializing in pharmaceutical distribution.

Arivio is conducting a global phase 3 clinical trial for AR1001 to commercialize it in 2027. CPC1 has signed an agreement with AriBio and will continue to discuss the specifics of sales rights and product distribution in Vietnam in line with the commercialization of the product.

"CPC1 will support AriBio in launching AR1001 in Vietnam with our capacity, ability, experience, and distribution system," said Han Thi Khanh Vinh, CPC1's board of directors chairman. Chairman Vinh is also the CEO of Vina Pharm.

In addition, AriBio will complete R&D on a specialty natural crop designated as a Vietnamese national treasure with OPC Pharma, a Vietnamese natural product pharmaceutical company, and begin process research and product development for mass production.

The specialty crop is mountain ginseng, for which the Vietnamese government has selected OPC Pharma as a designated company and provided various national support, including cultivation land.

Under the agreement, AriBio will develop a highly efficient extraction method for special active ingredients that support neurological stabilization and immune-related balance and transfer the technology to Vietnam three to five years after the development.

OPC Pharma said that through the contract with AriBio, it will conduct a comprehensive joint project that includes mass production of national treasure specialty crops, development of high-efficiency active ingredient extraction technology, and product commercialization.
