The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said that it has confirmed the first suspected case of mysterious pneumonia-like illness that has been terrorizing China.

According to the KCDC, a 36-year-old Chinese woman who had recently visited Wuhan, Hubei Province, was admitted into the hospital on Tuesday after showing symptoms.

The patient has been isolated and is currently undergoing treatment.

The mysterious pneumonia-like illness is known to cause fever, throat swelling, and coughing.

“The person is not suffering from any serious illnesses,” a KCDC official said. “We have already taken measures to tighten monitoring of people entering the country.”
