JYP Entertainment has donated 500 million won ($362,792) to Yonsei University Health System (YUHS) to support the treatment costs for underprivileged children.
The generous funds from JYP Entertainment will be used across several Yonsei facilities, including Severance Hospital, Gangnam Severance Hospital, and Yongin Severance Hospital.
These institutions will provide medical care to vulnerable pediatric patients up to 24 years of age, both domestically and internationally.
"We are grateful for the warmth and concern for pediatric patients, and we will make sure that the donations will be put to good use," YUHS CEO and President Keum Ki-chang said. "We look forward to realizing the value of sharing together."
JYP Entertainment Vice President Byun Sang-bong also said, "We hope this will help children who are struggling financially."
The company hopes that they will have the opportunity to regain their health and fulfill their dreams, Byun added.
JYP Entertainment is not new to charitable endeavors, operating under the slogan "Every Dream Matters!" (EDM).
This initiative underscores their commitment to returning the love they have received from the public through various social contribution activities.
The EDM project, in particular, focuses on providing financial assistance for medical treatments to economically disadvantaged children.
