Huons Meditech, the medical device and infection control arm of the Huons Group, said Tuesday that it has appointed Lee Jin-suk, former head of Global Planning and Coordination Headquarters at Huons Global, as its new CEO.
The company held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders at its headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and appointed Lee as its CEO after its board of directors voted to appoint him as an inside director.
CEO Lee was born in 1971 and graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with a master's degree in international trade, and joined the Huons Group in 2018 after working at Hanmi Pharmaceutical and Hanmi Pharmaceutical Beijing.
The company said that during his tenure at Huons Global, Lee contributed to the growth of the Huons Group by continuously expanding the new pipeline through strategic investments in open innovation and multiple mergers and acquisitions.
"Huons Meditech is a medical device company with unique technology in the medical and healthcare devices, attracting attention as future innovative technologies," Lee said. "We will strive to become an influential medical device company in the global market by developing innovative medical devices and expanding new business areas."
