Leading gynecologic surgeons from across Asia will gather in Korea to share the latest advances in robotic surgery for gynecologic conditions.

The Asian Society for Gynecologic Robotic Surgery (ASGRS) is hosting a three-day international congress, "Taking it to the Next Level," at the Grand Hyatt Incheon, starting on April 20.

"Given that robotic surgery is more advanced in Korea compared to other parts of Asia, we aim to share our achievements to enhance the quality of gynecologic surgery throughout the region," said ASGRS President Kim Tae-joong, who also works as a professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Samsung Medical Center.

Dr. Kim was elected as the fifth president of the ASGRS last October and will serve until 2025.

ASGRS was founded in August 2015 with the goal of improving the quality of surgical care for women in Asia through robotic surgery.
