Janssen Korea, Johnson & Johnson (J&J)'s pharmaceutical division in Korea, said that Christian Rodseth was appointed as the J&J Innovative Medicine Area Managing Director of North Asia on Monday.

In his new role, Rodseth will serve as the Managing Director of Janssen Korea and will oversee the pharmaceutical operations for J&J in North Asia, including Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Rodseth joined J&J in 2006 as a sales representative in South Africa and has since held various leadership roles in sales, marketing, and strategic planning across several regions, including Africa, Europe, and the U.S.

Most recently, he served as the Vice President and Managing Director overseeing five European countries, including Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Poland, and Romania, where he led significant business growth in Europe.

He has also contributed to enhancing access to innovative treatments through his active involvement in pharmaceutical industry associations in multiple countries.

Rodseth holds degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and Warwick Business School in the U.K.
