Ahngook Pharmaceutical said it appointed Vice President Park In-cheol as its new CEO as of Thursday.

With the new appointment, Ahngook Pharmaceutical switched to a two-person management system, with Vice Chairman Eo Jin in charge of new businesses and CEO Park handling overall management.

Park graduated from the Department of Pharmacy at Chung-Ang University and earned a master's degree from the same graduate school, and gained experience in development and marketing at Chong Kun Dang and Hanmi Pharmaceutical. After joining Ahngook in 2016, he served as the general manager of the pharmaceutical business, head of the marketing department, and head of the subsidiary Ahngook Newpharm.

“In a rapidly changing market environment and fierce competition, customer-centric business and differentiated marketing capabilities are emerging as core competitiveness,” said an official from Ahngook Pharmaceutical. ”We have appointed Park as CEO to strengthen our management system centered on sales and marketing and expand our market share.”

Park has built innovative sales strategies through digital marketing and data-driven customer analysis, and the company expects his expertise to contribute significantly to the transformation of its sales organization and the development of new growth engines, he added.
